Let there be wandering.

Some time ago I didn't get out much. A combination of things made me quite the homebody. On some of the relatively rare occasions that I did get out though, I would go "wandering" with a few close friends. With little money to spend and nothing particularly radical to do, we would simply wander the streets of our hometown deep in Pennsyltucky, occasionally getting kicked out of 7-11's or being labeled hooligans by angry grandmothers.

After I arrived at college my increased degree of freedom lent to me wandering much more often, and much more alone. Eventually I also came into possession of a car, and that's when the real wandering began.

Drive to Quebec City for 1 day (12 hour drive), why not?

St. Louis Missouri for 3 (16 hour drive), but of course.

Portsmouth, Ohio for the weekend (8 hour drive), as soon as I find out where the hell that is I'll be on my way.

So now I have at last decided that I shall make this fun pastime of mine something to share. I'm becoming acquainted with photography, I've jetted off to somewhere new to get lost in, and I'm ready to write it all down.

Mostly I'll just post as I wander, but on occasion I think I'll hearken back to wanderings of old, as much to solidify what of them I recall for myself as to present them to you.

Hope you enjoy.
